Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is chaired by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance with four other members appointed by the Minister for a three-year term. The Board of Trustees, which is regarded as the institute’s regular and extraordinary general assembly, is the highest authority responsible for the duties outlined in the statute.

Scope of authorities and duties:

The Board of Trustees’ scope of authorities and duties is as follows :

  1. Enactment of the institute’s strategies and general objectives
  2. Review and enactment of the institute’s annual plan and budget
  3. Review of the performance reports of the institute’s Board of Directors and auditor (independent auditor) and approval of annual financial statements
  4. Approval of the structure and bylaws of different departments of the institute (administration, finance, etc.)
  5. Approval of the institute’s capital increase or decrease
  6. Attraction of investments and partnerships with natural or legal persons in line with the realization of the institute’s objectives
  7. Development and enhancement of mechanisms for economic and commercial activities in line with the realization of the institute’s objectives
  8. Selection of a widely circulated newspaper to publish the institute's ads
  9. Monitoring the implementation of programs and plans approved by the Board of Trustees and evaluation of the institute’s annual performance
  10. Appointment and dismissal of the members of the Board of Directors and the auditor
  11. Transfer and mortgage of the institute’s immovable property, in compliance with the arrangements included in the institute’s statute, as suggested by the Development and Resource Management Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and approved by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance
  12. Dissolution or liquidation of the institute
  13. Revision of the institute’s statute

Note: Any amendments or changes to the institute’s statute should be enacted by the Board of Trustees and then should be approved by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
